HAVE A STRESS FREE MONDAY

HAVE A STRESS FREE MONDAY

It’s happened again, Monday has reared it’s ugly head and right about now you’re all wishing it just wasn’t so. What happened to the weekend? I was going to get so much done! Well, you don’t need to feel like that anymore, nope … these few tips of mine will help you have a stress free Monday – every Monday! I know you like the sound of that.

COOK EXTRAS ON SUNDAY

Although I actually love cooking, I personally hate having to cook every single night. When I cook I like it to be because I want to, not because I have to. To get around this little pet hate of mine a little, the night that I do cook, I cook enough for two (sometimes 3) nights. Pick up some foil containers on your next trip to the supermarket, pop your extras into those and pop them in the fridge. Bammo, dinner’s ready in 5 minutes on Monday night!

PREPARE EVERYTHING THE NIGHT BEFORE

I know, I know … it’s Sunday evening, and you’re really trying to soak up every last second of what was just the weekend, and you’re actually still in denial right now that you have to get up and go to work the next day. I promise you though, if you get everything prepared for the next day now … you are going to have a much easier Monday to deal with. Especially if you have kids, this is one of those things you should just go and do.

HEAD TO BED EARLY

I know we’ve all heard it a million times before, but whenever I go to bed early and get a good nights sleep, I can pretty much move mountains the next day. If I go to bed late and have a crap night of sleep, the opposite happens. So I pretty much try to make sure that Sunday nights are early nights, so I can actually face getting out of bed Monday morning.

ENJOY A HEALTHY BREAKFAST

This is a true fact – whenever I have a healthy breakfast in the morning, I just seem to feel better. I feel great about myself for being “good” and starting my day off right, and I also have more energy. If I skip breakfast, or say grab a banana on the way out the door (don’t do that FYI), I just don’t feel put together right, and if you don’t feel put together … you’re going to have a crap day. You know that’s true!

COME HOME TO A CLEAN HOUSE

Do yourself a HUGE favour … get someone else to deal with your weekend mess while you’re out of the house. The housework fairy probably isn’t available,Β but you will feel like she’s been if you do the smart thing and hire a professional to come make your house sparkle. Professional housekeepers are more than happy to wipe away all your muck while you are busy doing other thing (like say, relaxing!).
